2⁄3 cup (62 1⁄2g) natural untoasted muesli (or gluten free)
1⁄4 tsp sea salt
1⁄8 cup (31 1⁄4g) honey (rice malt syrup or maple syrup)
1⁄8 cup (12 1⁄2g) unsweetened apple sauce
1⁄8 cup (10g) almond butter (or other nut butter)
Preheat the oven to 100°C/fan 100°C/gas 1/4 and line a 20cm x 20cm baking tin with baking paper.
Combine muesli and salt in a medium bowl.
Bring honey to the boil in a small saucepan and simmer gently for 10 minutes until reduced. Add apple sauce and almond butter and whisk to combine. Add to muesli and mix well.
Press mix evenly into prepared tin and bake for an hour.
Leave at room temperature for an hour before cutting into 16 even bars.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
