5-ingredient Choc Chip Protein Porridge

Bring big Dan Churchill energy to your day with his epic Choc Chip Protein Oatmeal (or porridge). You can stick with the 5-ingredient simplicity, or mix in additional fruits, nuts or seeds.

3⁄4 cup (75g) rolled oats (or brown rice flakes or quinoa flakes if gluten free)
1 1⁄2 cups (375ml) water
pinch of salt
1⁄2 cup (125ml) milk, reduced fat (or dairy-free alternative)
1⁄4 cup (30g) vanilla protein powder (or natural protein powder)
Topping
1 tbs crunchy natural peanut butter (or other nut butter) or tahini
1 tbs water hot
1 tbs 70% dark chocolate chips (or dairy-free alternative) roughly chopped
Combine oats, water, and a pinch of salt in a saucepan set over medium-high heat. Bring to the boil then reduce to a gentle simmer and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Gently stir through milk and protein powder, adding water if necessary, and continue to gently simmer to desired consistency.
At the same time, blend peanut butter with hot water to a thin, pouring consistency, adding more water if needed.
Divide porridge between bowls, drizzle with sauce and scatter over chopped chocolate to serve.
