Sergio’s fresh and filling pineapple, coconut and turmeric blend is one of Elsa’s favorite breakfast smoothies. Not only is turmeric a powerful anti-inflammatory, it gives a spicy kick when paired with tropical fruits.

Ingredients

12 cup (125ml) coconut milk (tinned)

12 cup (125ml) water

1 medium banana

12 cup (90g) pineapple diced

14 cup (25g) rolled oats (or brown rice flakes or quinoa flakes if gluten free)

12 cup (50g) vanilla protein powder (or natural protein powder)

1 tsp ground turmeric

12 tsp ground ginger

4-6 ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth. 

 

Note: You may need to add a little water depending on the thickness of your protein powder.
